Alpha Epsilon Delta at USF

MEMBERSHIP

LOCAL MEMBERSHIP

To become a member of Alpha Epsilon Delta, you must first become a local member of the chapter. First time members must pay annual dues of $40, and if all membership requirements are met, renewing local members pay annual dues of $20.

The requirements to be inducted into Alpha Epsilon Delta as a local member include earning a 3.2 overall GPA and a 3.2 science and math GPA. All applicants for membership must fill out an application form, attach an unofficial transcript (not required for first semester freshmen), and submit it to the Membership Directors by the assigned deadline.

Once inducted, members will retain active status for two semesters. Additionally, first time inductees will receive a "Big" as part of our Big-Little Mentorship Program. Expectations of members entail earning 40 points per calendar year (fall, spring, and summer semesters), attending 3 socials, and volunteering for a minimum of 12 hours. NATIONAL MEMBERSHIP

If a member maintains active participation in the club and fulfills all national membership expectations for a full year after induction, that member then becomes eligible for national membership of Alpha Epsilon Delta. Benefits of national membership include joining a national society of like-minded individuals with similar career goals, being eligible for national Alpha Epsilon Delta scholarships, an invitation to attend the Alpha Epsilon Delta national convention held biennially in Texas, and more. Once a member becomes eligible for national membership, he or she will be contacted by the Membership Directors and given a separate membership application to complete. There is a one time fee of $75 to become a national member, but once inducted as a national member, you no longer need to pay local membership dues. National membership is guaranteed for life, and also includes a certificate and membership card.
